Production KPIs


Role-based profiles

Profiles define the specific portlets each user can access by pre-defined roles. These roles are user specific and allow for superior access control.









User portal

The portal is structured in functional headings that contain product specific tools. These tools are grouped together to make navigation and access streamlined and user-friendly.



Component level traceability and complete system genealogy are vital quality records. Prior to tracking and controlling all components through the manufacturing process, a route has to be configured.

• Create a route
• Create locations
• Define the pass to, fail to, and repair to locations
• Relate the part number to a route.





Route steps allow each location in the route to be created in chronological order to align with the process flow of the product.  Each location can also be defined as a Standard, Sub-route, or Start location. These route options allow the user to avoid having to reconfigure the same location multiple times for each new route.


Employee training verification

Employee Validation allows training classes to be created and also allows employees to be added to those training classes. This helps to ensure users receive the proper training to be able to perform their job requirements at specific locations or processes.

Work instructions and badge scans are verified with an integrated online database that includes operator training records, ensuring that only trained and certified operators are allowed to work at a particular workstation and transact material.

Managing serialized parts

A serial number is created based on the part number.  Serial number elements can be defined using the Algorithm Tool.

• Self-Service Algorithm Engine
• Define Masks (Elements)
• Relate the algorithm with a part number, serial number, etc.
• Ensure unique numbers, no reuse


Electronic work instructions

Consistent, up-to-date documentation is a key to ensuring quality in manufacturing. With the portal, online work instructions are available to reinforce operator understanding of complex processes on the shop floor. 

Work Instructions, deviations, and CAD drawings can be mapped to a product family, part number, or a process using the Document Mapping functionality.



Paperless travelers

The Traveler Maintenance application builds and maintains the traveler configurations for orderable part numbers. A traveler configuration is a defined list of parts required to build an orderable unit or an Internally Configured Part (ICP).



Label printing and management

The portal offers label creation and sharing tools that provides users with the ability to map label fields to data sources in order to create dynamic labels


Statistical process control

42Q provides Statistical Process Control to allow customers to continuously monitor, analyze, and control their production process in real time to reduce possible waste and improve process capabilities.


Line scheduling

Line Scheduling allocates all customer resources to optimize workloads in the production process. This leads to reduced production costs and increased efficiency in plant operations.

Device history

This report provides complete, detailed information about a unit and all of its activity throughout its life cycle. (One or more units can be entered at a time)


WIP distribution

The WIP Distribution report displays the number of units that are currently in progress based on the parameters selected. The top level result provides the ability to drill down to unit details, providing a snapshot of where the plant’s workload is distributed.


Yield and defect

The Yield and Defect report provides visibility of the total units manufactured vs the units that have failed.  It allows for grouping levels by product, process, line, workstation, day, and others. It also provides drill down access to defects and unit details.


Yield evolution

The Yield Evolution report displays the success percentage of a product for a determined period of time (Hour/Day/Week/Month).  It displays data in a chart or in a tabular format, presenting the hour/date/unit/passed/yield of a product.


Top defect evolution report

The Top Defect Evolution report allows defects recorded for one or more products to be viewed. These defects are classified by defect name, which produces a sum (number of defects and percent defect from total) of defects found in a given range for the specific defect. This report also lists the defect total based on a range of time.
